Like I said before, we had all the stuff powdercoated previously, so it was ready to go.  Drill a bunch of holes, lining things up, make a bunch of torque tubes and pushrods, and bolt everything together.  It certainly wasn’t easy as that makes it sound, but in actuality, the hardest part was getting the washers next to the rod ends so I could bolt it up.  There was one bit of funny business though...  there’s a bronze bushing that needs reaming out - it gets bolted up in the control assembly - and I wasn’t sure how to go about it.  After a quick search of the Matronics archives, I found a solution.  I got out the drill press, clamped a 2x4 underneath it, and drilled a 3/8” hole.  Then I stuck the bushing in the hole, and changed the drill bit to a 1/4”.  While holding the bushing with padded vicegrips, I ran the 1/4” drill bit through the bushing, then flipped it over and ran it through the other side.  Worked like a charm.  Now I can wiggle the stick between my legs.  yay.
