Right about now it seems as though we've been working on these elevators forever. Distractions, screw ups, etc. We keep telling ourselves that if we just work and do the next thing, it'll get done eventually. it sure doesn't seem like it. oh well... here we go dimpling.

Ahhh... and i did do something neato here. i modified the "standard aircraft building table" to accept the c-frame dimpler on a little shelf underneath. it really makes skin dimpling waaaayy easier. cool.

alright. here's the issue... you have to take the whole thing apart after drilling so that you can deburr, dimple, and prime. before priming, we've been alumipreping and alodining. you also need to keep everything labeled as to what goes where, but when you alumiprep, all the sharpie marking on the parts washes off, and there's a ton of little parts to the elevators. i was at a loss as to how to go about it, but while i was at work bethany figured it out. she's smart. check this out.
