So we decided to go with the MT 3 blade prop. Pros: looks cool, climbs good, smoother, possibly more ground clearance (not much though). Cons: slower (I hear), possibly a bummer to get maintenance, more expensive. It’s a personal choice, and some people are super passionate about it. Not me. You make the decision, and either you like it or you change it later. The biggest seller for me - the smooth and quiet part. As of this writing though, I really have no way to compare anything. it’d all be super cool. Why? I’ve only ever flown 2 blade 4 cylinder aircraft. Crappy ones. I can’t wait to fly something cool. Anyway, I put in the order with Jim Ayers at Less Drag, and when it came in, he assembled it for us, and then we went to go pick it up. Let me just say, that there’s nothing more awkward and cumbersome than an assembled 3 blade propeller. So, off to U-Haul to get a van, then off to Thousand Oaks area to pick it up. Yay. Now it sits in our bedroom with the engine cowl. we got work to do...
