So This is kind of a bit of a preview of what my panel is going to look like.  i’ve started to wire up stuff, and i’m putting all the radios in a stack above the tunnel area.  i’m using the radio mounting piece that would normally be found in the center of the modular panel i got from steinair.  to make it a bit more friendly, i’m using radiorax to mount the radio cans, and so far i really like them.  more on all that stuff later.  i got my panel cut out done at a local waterjet cutting company.  the cuts are a bit rough, and the tolerances are looser than i’d like.  i’ll probably have a new one cut at some point, but for now i’m just going to use it.  so you can see the cheltons stacked in front of the pilot, and the vertical power display unit is at the top in the center, and the Af3400 from advanced flight systems is below it.  i really like those two units installed together.  they look like they really go together.  they should, the lcd is the exact same model.  i’m really having fun working on the panel.  good times.
