So now that we've installed all the funny business in the leading edges - things like AOA ports, HID landing lights, etc. - we're ready to rivet the leading edges on to the main wing spars. At this point, you need to build a wing cradle that'll hold the wings properly. We went with what seems to be the standard for RV builders. Also put it on rollers for easy maneuverability. it's amazing how much wood work you do to build a metal airplane.
Getting back to working with aluminum, we're starting the leading edge attach. it really makes it start to look like a wing. Nothing special here - just cleco and rivet. Once we've got the leading edge on, we put the wing into the cradle and figure out how long the carpet loop is that we use to support the outboard section of the wing. Just basically get it to be somewhat level. No biggie.
Once both the wings are safely in the cradle, we start on the flap gap fairing. Like the name implies, it's a fairing that goes in the flap gap. Cleco, match drill etc.
